• FucGM1 is a ganglioside that has limited expression in normal tissues. While it is mostly expressed in neural tissue, it is also highly expressed on the surface of tumor cells in SCLC.1-3
  • Gangliosides such as FucGM1 are cell surface glycosphingolipids that enable cell-cell recognition, adhesion, and signaling transduction.1
  • Research suggests that antibodies targeting FucGM1 promote complement activation. FucGM1 antibodies may impart synergistic cytotoxic effects with other signaling pathways.1

FucGM1=fucosyl GM1; SCLC=small cell lung cancer.
